The Original Bower's Tower was built and designed but Sir Robert Tower in 1936, This proposal explores the renovation and re-encapsulation of the the historic structure with a new Observation Tower/ Gathering space that completely envelopes the existing.

 

Just as Ibadan is surrounded by 6 mountains, the hexagon shape structure draws from this parallel and flairs out at the top where the main observation deck is located to provide for maximum occupancy.

 

The existing exterior amphitheater is re-purposed with a newly designed canopy that houses outdoor community gathering and functions.
